Ray Tubes and Streamline HiFi are teaming up.

Hey everyone,

I’m pleased to announce that Ray Tubes is collaborating with Streamline HiFi to bring our vacuum tubes to their handcrafted stereo consoles.

I was immediately drawn to Streamline HiFi because its mission is a little different to most audio brands. Founder Steve Morris’s vision harks back to an earlier era of audio: the all-in-one console that was a mainstay of living rooms in the 20th century. Combining modern hifi systems with a timeless mid-century modern style, Steve and his brother Johnny create beautiful pieces that are as much art as technology. If you’ve ever yearned for a time when music and conversation were the primary purpose of a living room, Streamline HiFi is for you.

On the surface, it’s easy to look at Streamline HiFi and see the culmination of one man’s labor. But—as Steve himself is quick to point out—the reality is one of community and collaboration. Drawing on contacts he made during his career in construction and his time in the audiophile community, his consoles represent a synthesis of expertise in woodworking and electrical engineering, all working towards his vision. Recognising that greatness lies not in oneself but in the relationships and networks that one is able to build is a trait I admire greatly. It’s the philosophy at the heart of Ray Tubes, too—our tubes are the culmination of countless engineers with decades of experience at factories around the world. That’s just one reason I’m proud to see our vacuum tubes in Steve’s consoles.

Streamline HiFi consoles are built to order. If they’ve piqued your interest, reach out to Steve to learn more.

As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out to me at nelson@raytubes.com. We’re always here to listen and support our community, and we mean it.

Until next time,

Nelson Wu
